Step by step Pattern

Bunny:

  1. Start with the magic ring. With skin-tone yarn, make a magic ring and crochet 6 sc into the ring. Pull the magic ring tight to close.
  2. Increase. In the next round, crochet 2 sc in each stitch around (12 sc total).
  3. Continue crocheting in rounds. In the next round, crochet 1 sc in the first stitch, then 2 sc in the next stitch. Repeat this around, crocheting 1 sc in one stitch and 2 sc in the next, until you have completed the round (18 sc total).
  4. Continue increasing. Crochet 1-2 more rounds of 18 sc each for the head.
  5. Shape the body. In the next round, crochet 9 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch, 9 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch. Continue around, increasing one stitch at each end of the "bump" for the body (22 sc total).
  6. Continue crocheting in rounds without increasing. Crochet 4-5 rounds of 22 sc each for the body.
  7. Stuff the head and body firmly but softly with stuffing.
  8. Decrease for the head and legs. Crochet 3-4 rounds, decreasing by 1 stitch each round for the head. For the legs, make chains of desired length, single crochet all the way down, stuff lightly, and sew to the body.

Ears (optional):

  1. With pink yarn, chain 6 stitches.
  2. Single crochet all the way down the chain.
  3. Chain 2, turn, and single crochet back down the chain, decreasing by 1 stitch at the end.
  4. Repeat step 3, decreasing by 1 stitch each time until you have 1 stitch remaining.
  5. Slip stitch the last stitch closed.
  6. Make another ear the same way.
  7. Sew the ears to the top of the head.

Face:

  • Attach safety eyes or embroider eyes with black yarn.
  • Embroider has a small pink nose with pink yarn.
  • You can also add a mouth with embroidery thread.

Butterfly wings (optional):

  1. You can find many different patterns for butterfly wings online or in crochet books. Choose a pattern you like and adjust the size and colors to match your bunny.
  2. Crochet the wings according to the chosen pattern.
  3. Sew the wings to the back of the bunny, positioning them where you like.

Tips:

  • You can adjust the size of the bunny by using a different yarn weight or crochet hook size.
  • You can get creative and add other details to your bunny, such as a tail or a flower.
  • If you're new to amigurumi, many helpful tutorials are available online and in libraries.
