Body:

Head:

  1. Switch to orange yarn and make a magic ring.
  2. Crochet 6 sc into the ring.
  3. Increase to 12 sc by crocheting 2 sc in each stitch.
  4. Continue crocheting in rounds, increasing 6 sc evenly each round until 30 sc.
  5. Crochet 4 rounds without increasing.
  6. Start stuffing the head with fiberfill as you crochet.
  7. Crochet 2 more rounds without increasing.
  8. Decrease to 24 sc by crocheting 2 sc together every other stitch.
  9. Crochet 1 more round without decreasing.
  10. Add safety eyes.
  11. Finish off the head by crocheting two sc together in each stitch, then tie off and weave in the ends.

Wings:

  1. Using brown yarn, chain 18 stitches.
  2. Turn and sc in each stitch.
  3. Chain 2, turn, and sc in each stitch, decreasing at each end.
  4. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you have 4 stitches remaining.
  5. Finish off and weave in the ends.
  6. Repeat steps 1-5 to make a second wing.

Legs:

  1. Using brown yarn, chain 12 stitches.
  2. Turn and sc in each stitch.
  3. Continue crocheting in rounds, without increasing, until the leg reaches the desired length.
  4. Finish off and weave in the ends.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 to make a second leg.

Beak:

  1. Using yellow yarn, chain 6 stitches.
  2. Turn and sc in each stitch.
  3. Stuff the beak lightly with fiberfill.
  4. Fold the beak in half and crochet the two sides together.
  5. Sew the beak to the face of the owl.

Assembly:

  1. Sew the wings to the body of the owl.
