Unlike post stitches, working Back loops or front loops produces a nice raised horizontal texture perfect for ribbings. They are very important crochet terminologies. You can learn what they are and how to work with them in this FLO and BLO tutorial for all skill levels. Even if you are a beginner, you don't need to hesitate as the stitch techniques in this procedure remain the same except where we insert the crochet hook. Let's dive into this tutorial!

How To Work In Front Loop Only And Back Loop Only
It is very easy to do FLO and BLO. To create the Front Loop Only (FLO) stitch, insert your hook into the front loop of the current stitch (one of the top loops that is nearer to you) and complete your stitch as usual.
For the Back Loop Only (BLO) stitch, you insert your hook into the loop at the back that is furthest from you, yarn over, pull through and finish your stitch.
Whether you're single, double or treble crocheting, these basic steps remain consistent - the only difference is the number of yarn overs and pulls you do for each particular stitch. These stitches provide a textured surface, making your crochet fabric look more interesting. They are simple stitches that any beginner crocheter can integrate into their basic crocheting skills.
