Step-by-step pattern 

Body:

  1. Start with a magic ring with the brown yarn.
  2. Crochet 6 single crochets (sc) into the magic ring and pull tight to close the ring.
  3. Increase by crocheting 2 sc in each stitch around. You should now have 12 sc.
  4. Continue crocheting in sc around, increasing by 1 sc in each stitch around. You should now have 18 sc.
  5. Continue crocheting in sc around, increasing by 1 sc in every other stitch. You should now have 24 sc.
  6. Continue crocheting in sc around, increasing by 1 sc in every third stitch for 2 rounds. You should now have 30 sc.
  7. Continue crocheting in SC around without increasing for 10 rounds.
  8. Stuff the body firmly as you go.
  9. Decrease by crocheting 2 sc together around for 2 rounds. You should now have 24 sc.
  10. Decrease by crocheting 2 sc together around for 3 rounds. You should now have 18 sc.
  11. Decrease by crocheting 2 sc together around for 4 rounds. You should now have 6 sc.
  12. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Legs (make 4):

  1. Make a magic ring with the brown yarn.
  2. Crochet 6 sc into the magic ring and pull tight to close the ring.
  3. Increase by crocheting 2 sc in each stitch around. You should now have 12 sc.

  9. Change to the grey yarn and crochet 1 round in SC without increasing.
  10. Change back to the brown yarn and crochet 1 round in SC without increasing.
  11. Decrease by crocheting 2 sc together around for 3 rounds. You should now have 18 sc.
  12. Decrease by crocheting 2 sc together around for 4 rounds. You should now have 6 sc.

Ears (make 2):
