Materials:

  • Red yarn
  • Gold yarn
  • Cream yarn
  • Black yarn
  • Size H-8 crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Fiberfill

Step by step Pattern

Instructions:

Sole

  1. With red yarn, chain 24.
  2. Sc in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. Turn (23 sc).
  3. Sc in each sc across. Turn (23 sc).
  4. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until the piece measures approximately 3.5 inches wide. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Heel

  1. With red yarn, chain 10.
  2. Sc in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. Turn (9 sc).
  3. Sc in each sc across. Turn (9 sc).
  4. Work 5 rows of sc in each sc across.
  5. Dec one sc at each end of the row by working the last two sc together. Turn (7 sc).
  6. Work 3 rows of sc in each sc across.
  7. Dec one sc at each end of the row by working the last two sc together. Turn (5 sc).
  8. Work 2 rows of sc in each sc across.
  9. Dec one sc at each end of the row by working the last two sc together. Turn (3 sc).
  10. Work one row of sc in each sc across. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Ankle

  1. With red yarn, join yarn to the corner of the heel and chain 1.
  2. Sc around the sole and up the sides of the heel, increasing one sc in each corner (36 sc).
  3. Work 3 rounds of sc in each sc around.

Toe

  1. Dec one sc at each end of the next 2 rounds by working the last two sc together (32 sc, then 28 sc).
  2. Work 2 rounds of sc in each sc around.
  3. Dec one sc at each end of the next 4 rounds by working the last two sc together (24 sc, then 20 sc, then 16 sc, then 12 sc).
  4. Work one round of sc in each sc around. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Foot

  1. With gold yarn, join yarn to the top edge of the sole and chain 1.
  2. Sc in each sc around (28 sc).
  3. Work 3 rounds of sc in each sc around.

Shin

  1. Work 8 rows of sc in each sc around, switching to cream yarn in the last row.

Repulsor

  1. With red yarn, make a magic ring.

  2. Sc 6 times in the ring. Turn (6 sc).

  3. Increase one sc in each sc around (12 sc). Turn (12 sc).

  4. Work 2 rounds of sc in each sc around.

  5. Fasten off and weave in ends.

  6. With black yarn, embroider a small circle in the center of the repulsor.

Assembly

  1. Sew the heel seam together.
  2. Sew the bottom of the foot and shin together.
  3. Sew the repulsor to the top of the shin.

Tips:

  • You can adjust the size of the booties using a different size crochet hook or adding or removing rows.
  • Be sure to stuff the booties firmly with fiberfill before sewing them closed.
