  9. Repeat rows 8 and 9 three more times. (36 sc each row)
  10. Sc in the next 5 stitches, decrease in the next stitch. Repeat around. (30 sc)
  11. Sc in the next 4 stitches, decrease in the next stitch. Repeat around. (24 sc)
  12. Sc in the next 3 stitches, decrease in the next stitch. Repeat around. (18 sc)
  13. Stuff the body with fiberfill.
  14. Sc in the next 2 stitches, decrease in the next stitch. Repeat around. (12 sc)

Wings (make 2):

  1. With yellow yarn, chain 4.
  2. Sc in the second chain from the hook.
  3. Increase in the next stitch, sc in the next 2 stitches. (4 sc)

  5. Increase in the next stitch, sc in the next 4 stitches. (6 sc)

Beak:

  1. With orange yarn, chain 3.
  2. Starting in the second chain from the hook, hdc, then dc in the last chain. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Assembly:

  1. Sew the head to the body.
  2. Sew the wings to the body, positioning them on either side of the body.
  3. Sew on the beak.
